Wow Yiz. You sure are judgemental. Just because someone believes in pro-choice does NOT make them baby killers or as you call them Baby Butchers.
Face it. Whether abortion is legal or illegal, it's still going to happen. It's happened throughout history. Would you rather these women go to back alley abortion clinics, or go the coathanger route? Hmm...maybe you would. I can just hear some of the pro-lifers now...serves them right.
I for one would not like to see that. That way can be potentially more dangerous and may harm the womens reproductive system so that in the future they can't have any more babies. I don't want to see 13 year old girls who got pregnant by rape, incest, or otherwise, screw up their chances of having a baby later in life when they are ready by going to a back alley clinic,
Sorry. I feel Judgement belongs to God and God alone. Nobody has the right to make decisions for anybody else. Just because I believe in that does not make me a baby butcher.

BTW: I am so tired of the name-calling going on, from either side. We need to focus on the problem, and part of that means we refrain from calling the other side stubborn, pompous, ignorant, etc. Name-calling only alienates the people with whom we need to work toward a solution
I'm sorry, but I just went back and skimmed through the 7 pages of this topic and quite honestly, I've found the discussion to be civil for the most part.
I really didn't see any exampes of name calling.

Sometimes in life, someone may be faced with a decision that they don't want to make. However, I feel that everyone should have the right to make the choice that's right for their particular situation. No one else has the right to make a choice for someone else. No matter how good their intentions may be.

I don't pretend to know what God is thinking, or what really is the consequences of our actions. For all I know, many people have used God and God's will to justify killing people. Including women and children.
Too many people think they know what God wants, or how God thinks. That's why I feel that we don't need any law made by Man (or woman) that tells other people what to do with their own body.
To quote many WT Questions from readers articles, it should be a matter of conscience. (ugh!!! I can't believe I'm quoting Watchtower articles).

I'm going to jump in here real quick.
First off, I think abortion is wrong. I would not want my wife to have one. I know she feels the same way. But that is based on OUR beliefs.
However, I feel and believe that all life belongs to God. God gave us all free will. If a women chooses to have an abortion, well, that's her decision. She alone will have to face the consequences of that decision.
When?
When we die, many people believe that we all have to stand before the throne of God and give an account of our life and all the things we've done. God will judge those in His own way. What person really has the right to tell another what to believe and what decisions to make? I could never understand why so many people love to play God and judge other people for these type of decisions.

What are the flaws of this forum?
by Vita Nuova inas much information, insight and entertainment this forum provides, some things about its format and design have come to annoy me.
let me start by saying that i think one of the biggest weaknesses of this forum may be the active topics option at the top.
it seems to me that some people may use this option just to see which topics are still alive.

Simple solution. You don't have to read every reply to every thread.
With a board this big, you are bound to have people comment on the wide variety of topics that is on this forum. You will have the thoughtful posters, the smartass posters, the people who love to debate any topic, and the one liners.
All of these people contribute to this board and it's the variety of these type of posters who make this board as good as it is.
Just my 2 cents.
